Brazilian star intends staying put at Abu Dhabi-owned Premiership club Man City.
Brazilian footballing star, Robinho, has confirmed he intends staying on at Abu Dhabi-owned Manchester City, after re-affirming his faith in manager Mark Hughes.
The Premiership club’s record signing had been the source of much speculation in recent weeks regarding his performances after the goals started drying up. Questions had also been periodically raised concerning his relationship with Hughes.
The Brazilian put that particular rumour to bed on Sunday when he said of Hughes: "The manager gives me total confidence, and he and the whole team help me to produce my best football for the club.''
He added that he had no regrets coming to Manchester City from Spanish giants Real Madrid, telling the club's website: "There are no regrets on my part about coming here. This is only my first year, and I try to get better every year.
"Hopefully in the future I will be even happier at this football club. My aim is to remain here for a long time."For all the latest sports news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
