As Jadaf Dubai sees a record number of operations passing through its dock, it is awarded for its achievements by Rolls Royce Naval Marine.
Rolls Royce Naval Marine Company has named Jadaf Dubai as the number one ship lifting docking yard in the world for completing over 58,100 operations on all types of vessels.
“We are honoured to be the number one ship lifting dock in the world. Today, we offer a range of unparalleled competitive advantages to our regional and international clients and we are proud of this achievement,” said Hamed Bin Lahej, general manager, Jadaf Dubai.
In 2004, Jadaf Dubai completed 2181 operations, against the average of 300 operations at European docks. Jadaf Dubai also recorded a 17% increase in its operations in the first three months of 2005, compared to the corresponding period last year.
Jadaf Dubai, which uses ship lift and transfer systems by Syncrolift Inc, a subsidiary of Rolls Royce Marine Company, is the oldest ship repair yard in the Persian Gulf area and offers facilities to handle all types of sea faring vessels weighing up to 2550 deadweight tonnes. It is estimated that nearly 70% of the small and medium sized vessels passing through the region dock at Al Jadaf for maintenance and repair.
