Irish-born Keating, who has sold more than 20 million records worldwide, will be headlining the Laureus World Sports Awards when they return to Abu Dhabi next week.

Among those nominated for awards are tennis star Kim Clijsters, boxer Manny Pacquiao, Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel and snowboarder Shaun White.
“I’m a big sports fan and it’s just great to be able to attend the Laureus Awards for the first time and to be able to sing for such a special audience,” Keating said.
“I will be cheering for all the winners. I know what a big night it will be for them.”
Proceeds from the awards help fund the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which has raised more than €40m for community sports projects around the world. For all the latest sports news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
