Royal Gulf to supply fan coil units for Burj Dubai

4000 customised double-skin fan coil units to be used.

UAE based company Royal Gulf will provide 4,000 fan coil units for the Burj Dubai.

The company will provide specially customised double-skin fan coil units manufactured by Mekar, Italy, to facilitate the cooling within the tower.

Royal Gulf's managing director Arun Tuli said the increased demands for chilled water applications in the UAE meant that compliance to specifications and accurate application engineering were now the most important criteria when selecting air handling units (AHU) and fan coil units (FCU).

"Choosing the appropriate chiller, has become an important consideration for international engineering consultants in order to ensure reliable air conditioning. A failure in performance can result in unwanted additional costs in replacements, along with loss of reputation for the supplier, builder and consulting engineers," he said.

Royal Gulf has already supplied Mekar AHU and FCU to projects throughout Dubai, including the Dubai Mall, the Burj Dubai Lake Hotel and Emaar Business Park.
