Sheikh Khalifa to offer Eid Al Fitr prayers at Shaikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
The rulers across the UAE’s emirates will lead the Eid prayers, according to a report.
The UAE president Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan will offer the Eid Al Fitr prayers at the Shaikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, while Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, will perform Eid Al Fitr prayers at the Grand Eid Musallah in Dubai, the Gulf News daily reported.
He will receive greetings from sheikhs, dignitaries, citizens and residents after the prayer.
Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, the ruler of Sharjah, will offer the Eid Al Fitr prayers at the Al Badea Musallah, in Sharjah. Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, the ruler of Ajman, will offer the Eid Al Fitr prayers at the Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Musallah, in Ajman.
The UAE’s Eid Al Fitr holiday will be from Sunday September 20 until Tuesday September 22 for the public sector.
Federal ministries and departments will observe the three-day holiday starting on September 20, state news agency WAM reported.
Private sector companies will resume regular hours on the third day of Eid, which is likely to be Tuesday September 22.
