Saudi shares closed 1.2 percent higher, led by petrochemical and banking stocks.The petrochemical index was up 0.6 percent and heavyweight Saudi Basic Industries (SABIC) climbed 0.96 percent to 79 riyals.
Al-Rajhi Bank closed 2.16 percent higher and Samba Financial Group climbed 3 percent, while Riyad Bank advanced 5.22 percent. Saudi's benchmark ended 1.2 percent higher at 6,026 points. (Reuters)
