US security provider SafeNet will be coming to Gitex Dubai this November with its innovative range of internet and IT encryption, authentication and protection solutions.

SafeNet was founded more than 20 years ago by to National Security Agency engineers, thus ensuring the company’s impeccable information security pedigree. Over the years it has built up a reputation as one of the leading IT security providers in the world; recent mergers and acquisitions have propelled it to be the seventh-largest information security provider in the world.

Its product range includes a number of SSL-enabled virtual private network (VPN) systems, which also feature two-factor authentication. The iGate SSL VPN appliance offers organisations the ability to make secure connections with high levels of authentication over the internet.

“Good administration capabilities are essential for any enterprise level product. The iGate SSL VPN provides the administrator with an extensive and easy to use set of administrative functions from an intuitive GUI, as well as a full featured Command Line Interface (CLI). Administration can be performed either from a directly connected workstation or from any remote location using a browser,” says Ian Edward Dix, chief marketing officer at SafeNet.

“A reporting tool provides alarm-based reporting that includes usage summaries by group, user, or resource, the highlighting of anomalies, and graphical representations of accesses by date, user, and group.”

SafeNet also offers a complete range of authentication devices, including smart cards and USB tokens. These enable organisations to ensure the identity of employees from anywhere in the world, whether they are within the main office or working remotely.

The company has a wide range of enterprise security products and services, including drive and file encryption systems, security semiconductor production, single-sign-on systems, and software toolkits for security development projects.
