Sama Dubai showcases $17.7bn 'Lagoons'

Cityscape special: Lagoons project will cover 70 million square feet and feature seven landscaped islands.

Sama Dubai unveiled a 5 metre scale model of its Lagoons project at its Cityscape Abu Dhabi stand on Tuesday.

Costing $17.7 billion, the development will spread over an area of 70 million square feet, and feature seven landscaped islands comprising residential units, shopping centres, office buildings and marinas.

The real estate and development arm of Dubai Holding also showcased a portfolio of projects including including: the US$3 billion “Amwaj”, Morocco; the US$1.1 billion “Salam Resort and Spa- Yiti”, Oman, the US$550 million “Dubai Towers – Doha”, Qatar and “Dubai Towers – Dubai”, UAE.
