Samsung goes small

Samsung, the world’s second largest laser engine manufacturer, has launched what it claims is the world’s smallest laser-based flatbed multifunction printer (MFP) in the form of the new SCX-4200.

Designed to be the ultimate affordable and compact productivity tool for small and home office multitaskers, the SCX-4200 is a three-in-one printer, scanner and copier machine.

It features Samsung’s toner save function, which the firm claims can help businesses cut their toner usage - and therefore toner costs - by up to 40%, at the push of a button. Samsung quotes 19ppm print and copy speeds for the 4200, in addition to a quick warm-up time of under 30 seconds. Buyers should expect to pay approximately US $177.
