Samsung joins charity drive

Samsung Electronics donated a number of digital devices including mobile phones, laser printers, home theatre systems and DVD players as prizes to winners at Al Noor Training Centre’s annual fund raising event.

Samsung Electronics has donated a number of its digital devices as prizes to winners at Al Noor Training Centre’s annual fund raising event. Prizes including mobile phones, laser printers, home theatre systems and DVD players were distributed to winners at the Family Fun Fair. D K Byeon, managing director, Samsung Gulf Electronics (SGE) said: “With over two decades of presence in Middle East, Samsung is committed to supporting such worthy causes. The donation of cutting-edge digital products reflects Samsung’s endeavour to support the noble cause undertaken by Al Noor Training Centre in imparting a comprehensive training programme to help special needs children.”Al Noor Training Centre takes care of 220 children and provides training such as remedial teaching, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, vocational training, psychological support, aromatherapy, computers and work placement. The centre also recently launched a campaign to build a new training centre under the patronage of Matar Humaid Al Tayer, on land donated by the Government of Dubai.
