Samsung plans flood of product launches

Korean consumer electronics giant says it will offer something for everyone.

Samsung Electronics says its show booth will have something for everyone this year. The Korean giant plans to use its time at the trade show to demonstrate its newest products and solutions.

"Our diverse product line-up will ensure that there will be products of interest for all the visiting groups, catering to the various business and consumers needs," says Karan Chopra, marketing manager at Samsung Gulf Electronics.

The company will be displaying its broad array of IT products in addition to audio visual devices and handheld phones.

"Our new products will continue to blur the technological boundaries, making the concept of digital convergence a reality and maximising the customer's freedom from the limits of time, space and location," says Chopra.

Samsung also intends to launch new solutions that focus on the hospitality segment of the market in addition to a new line of Large Format Displays (LFDs.) The firm considers the Middle East region as one of its most important markets and sees the show as the ideal platform to demonstrate its products and solutions and grow its business.

"GITEX is the most important IT and consumer electronics event in the region for Samsung. Not only does it provide us with a platform for fostering new business relationships but it also allows us to reinforce our position and visibility in the market. This show is also one event where we have the chance to interact directly with our customers, to hear their thoughts and gather feedback for future developments," says Chopra.
