Samsung presents seamless experience

New era of digital convergence on show with Samsung Electronics

Samsung Electronics will present its vision of a seamless digital experience at GITEX Consumer Electronics this year.

As one of the leaders in the consumer electronics space, Samsung will highlight the growing convergence between devices in the consumer electronics, communications and office products, and how its products are mixing functionality for more consumer convenience.

Chiwon Suh, president and CEO, Samsung Middle East and Africa Headquarters said: “Gitex has led the new digital media era and its role and status is getting much more important in the 21st century. It is only natural for us to launch our latest range of products that strive to ease consumer’s digital fatigue to the Middle East market at Gitex.”

Samsung has integrated functions such as InfoLive service, which comes with its 7 and 8 series TVs, which streams information services to the TV through the internet, and Anynet + HDMI-CEC, which allows a single remote to control multiple devices.

“Now more and more digital devices are coming to the market and they are also slowly connecting with each other. So in that sense the convenience of connectivity is very critical and essential. If you look at Samsung’s product portfolio, it is very comprehensive, ranging from home products like LCD TVs, home cinema and Blu-Ray Players to mobile devices, like camcorders, digital cameras and MP3 players and mobile phones, right through to IT products like printers, monitors and PCs. We are in the best position to converge all of these devices, and that’s what people are going to be able to see at Gitex,” said Suh.

The Samsung stand at GITEX will include a wide selection of its digital lifestyle products including LCD TVs, camcorders, blu-ray players, digital cameras, OLED TVs, monitors, large format displays, MP3 player, touchscreen phones and printers.
