A website hacker has been arrested at a Saudi airport as he attempted to board a plane to Dubai.

Turki Omar, a Saudi national, posted on his Twitter account ‘Marjouj Hazazi’ on Thursday that he had been intercepted at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on charges of hacking.

Makkah Police confirmed the arrest on Monday, claiming Omar had hacked the website of a public organisation.

The impact of Omar’s alleged hacking has not been made public.
