Operation has been shut down, investigation has been launched
Saudi officials have shut down a perfume-making warehouse in Jeddah after ten gallons of human urine was discovered on the premises, according to a report by Arab News.
Saad Al Thowaini, media director at the municipality, told the newspaper the secretariat, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, immediately closed the warehouse and some foreign workers were arrested.
Police are now investigating into the matter and whether the urine was mixed with the perfume and sold on the market.
The operator of the warehouse has been fined for various health violations, including the discovery of human urine on the premises and the manufacturing of perfumes without a license.
