Heavy rain forecast has been issued in Saudi Arabia for the next six days, starting Wednesday, with the Met department urging residents to take necessary precautions.

The General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection said rain and thunder storm will hit several regions including Tabuk, the Northern Border region, Al Jouf and Hail, governorates of Makkah, Madinah, Baha and Asir, and parts of Riyadh, Al Qassim and the Eastern Province, Saudi Gazette reported.

The Civil Defense Directorate warned the public to take utmost caution while approaching pools of water, crossing valleys and flood passages over the coming few days.
