Saudi swine flu cases reach 173

Health officials announced eight new cases of the H1N1 virus bringing the total to 173.

A total of 173 swine flu cases have been diagnosed in Saudi Arabia, the kingdom’s Ministry of Health has confirmed.

Health officials announced eight new cases of the H1N1 virus on Saturday, according to local media reports.

Health Ministry spokesman Khaled Al-Mirghalani told reporters that out of the 173 confirmed cases, 164 patients had made a full recovery following hospital treatment.

The eight new cases were in; two Saudi men, five Saudi women and one expatriate man.
