Organisers of last month's SIA Guest exhibition - a showcase of high-end Italian products targeting the luxury hotel market - in Dubai have promised to return to the city after the success of their inaugural showcase.

Organisers of last month's SIA Guest exhibition - a showcase of high-end Italian products targeting the luxury hotel market - in Dubai have promised to return to the city after the success of their inaugural showcase.

Organiser Rimini Fiera project manager Barbara Padovan said the event - which was being held outside Italy for the first time - included Alessi, La Murrina and Stella.

"We think Italian products are particularly good in the design sector, in furniture, cutlery, lights and plates," she said.

La Murrina marketing manager Lorenza Radrizzani said: "This [Dubai] is our target:  we have an artistic product which can only be accepted where high-end products are desired".

Padovan said representatives from Le Meridien, Jumairah, Radisson, Coral International and Sheraton hotels had attended.

"We would like to continue this relationship between the Dubai market and Italian companies," she said.
