Accident on Madinah-Qassim highway occurred due to poor visibility
Six people were killed and 81 injured in a five-bus collision on Madinah-Qassim highway in Saudi Arabia.
The deceased are said to include Bangladeshis, Indians and other nationalities, who were returning to the Eastern Province, Riyadh, and to the UAE, according to local media reports.
The accident is believed to have occurred due to poor visibility on the roads.
A total of 28 emergency rescue teams including six from Madinah and five from Hail region rushed to the accident site, said Saudi Red Crescent Society Qassim Director Mohammed Al Hammad.
There were 200 passengers in the five buses. Sixteen passengers suffered critical injuries, while 65 were treated for minor injuries.
