Snap & sing with new Prisms

iRiver has launched new combined digital camera and MP3 players into the Middle East market.

iRiver has launched new combined digital camera and MP3 players into the Middle East market.

The company’s iFP-1090 and iFP-1095 Prism devices will hit the shops later this month and feature built-in digital cameras with 1.2" color LCDs, 3x zooms and swivel lenses.

As for their MP3 capabilities, the players are firmware upgradeable, meaning users can update their hardware to meet future standards such as emerging file formats. These two Prism models are already capable of playing MP3, asf, wma and the new OGG Vorbis file formats.

iRiver’s 256MB and 512MB Prisms also offer FM radio tuners with recording capability and standard voice recorders, and can, according to iRiver, run for up to 35hrs via their built-in rechargeable batteries.

iRiver’s two Prisms have completely new color graphic user interfaces and clock and alarm clock functions that allow users to programme and record their favorite FM radio programmes, even when the players are switched off.

The black, 256MB iFP-1090 will cost $299 while the gold, 512MB iFP-1095 will be available for $399.
