Sophisticated eServices

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is announcing a host of eServices to streamline its processes during GITEX Technology Week.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is announcing a host of eServices to streamline its processes during GITEX Technology Week.

The package of services offered by RTA, as well as other RTA agencies; include a range of sophisticated services, some of which are being offered for the first time.

Services on display include the payment of parking fees through the mobile phone service and a host of eServices covering traffic and roads systems.

Maitha bin Adai, CEO of RTA, Traffic and Roads Agency, says the systems being offered at GITEX targets the general public as well as motorists and road users, and is inline with the development witnessed by Dubai in all fields.

"Among services on offer at GITEX is the Payment of Parking Using Mobile Phones Service (mParking), he says.

"This service enables users to send SMS from their mobile phones to the designated service number. The service, which is currently being tested in coordination with the UAE-based telecommunication providers, will be gradually introduced over the next months."

The RTA is also offering Salik eServices; where a number of online services are offered through Salik portal.

Additionally, the RTA is holding presentations on the automatic control of the driverless Dubai Metro trains, distinguished vehicle number plates, intelligent traffic systems, mobile parking, drivers testing, simulators, IT outsourcing and  green IT technology services.
