SourceIT beefs up website

Retail distribution outfit Source IT has beefed up its online presence, launching a new website carrying full details of its product portfolio, an online support facility and comprehensive information about warranties.

Retail distribution outfit Source IT has beefed up its online presence, launching a new website carrying full details of its product portfolio, an online support facility and comprehensive information about warranties.

“As ambassadors for some of the most exciting technology brands in the world, the new Source IT website will help to increase the visibility and availability of these brands while also acting as a demonstration of Source IT’s capabilities and retail marketing strategies,” declared Ahmed Al Azzawi, director at Source IT.

The online support facility also includes e-mail and telephone contact details for Source IT customers. Source IT plans further website developments in the first quarter of 2006, aimed at increasing the company’s supply chain management service even further. The distributor reckons that an online stock and order tracking system will help to increase the speed between product procurement and product sales, hence driving sales turnover for its retailer customer base.

“Source IT’s mission is to provide retailers and customers across the Middle East with the very latest technology and to offer advice on the most effective way in which to market the products,” continued Al-Azzawi. “Our new website will facilitate this process by extending the availability of our brands, while also bringing further opportunities.”

Source IT represents a number of vendors in the market including i-mate, Jabra, Leadtek, Covertec, Bluetrek and Navigon. The distributor prides itself on adding value in the retail channel through unique product bundling initiatives and attractive point-of-sales marketing material.

Source IT reckons that its revenues are set to increase 50% year-on-year in 2005. As a strong believer in the need for increased financial transparency in the Middle East IT channel, Source IT has revealed that full year sales for its first year of operations in 2004 exceeded US$20m. Deloitte & Touche audited the distributor’s accounts in March 2005
