The 2020 Riyadh Spartan race is scheduled to take place on March 13 and 14 at Dirab Motor Park
A Spartan Race will take place in Saudi Arabia’s capital of Riyadh in March, the Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) has announced.
The 2020 Riyadh Spartan race is scheduled to take place on March 13 and 14 at Dirab Motor Park.
“The Saudi Sports for All Federation is excited to present the 2020 Riyadh Spartan race at Dirab Motor Park,” said Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, the president of the SFA.
On Friday, March 13, the event will include a 5 km, 20-obstacle women’s ‘Spartan Sprint’ race alongside a girls-only race for those aged between 4 and 14 years of age.
The men’s race day will take place on Saturday, March 14, and will include both a 10 km, 25 obstacle “Spartan Super race’, as well as a Spartan Sprint. The events will run alongside a boys only race for those aged 4 to 14.
“We’re probably the most excited for the Spartan Kids race days,” Prince Khaled said. “Building a healthy active community starts with kids getting up and out there in fun and interesting environments, and this is one race not to be missed.”
The Riyadh event follows an earlier Spartan race event held in the mountains of Al Soudah during the Asir Festival in August 2019. The event saw 1,500 attendees and 800 races ranging in ages from 4 to 70.
