Strategic partnership will give greater security

Trintech and Visa International are to jointly develop the next generation of ePayment solutions to speed the global adoption of secure mobile commerce.

Trintech Group PLC has followed the launch of its secure payment solutions designed for mobile devices, PayWare mAccess, by announcing a strategic partnership with Visa International to jointly develop the next generation of ePayment solutions to secure the global adoption of secure mobile commerce.

The partnership means that PayWare mAccess will allow customers ‘one touch’ payment while shopping with mobile devices, with the assurance of the Visa brand.

By securing the form filling capabilities of PayWare mAccess with a secret PIN code, merchants and consumers can buy and sell with greater security.

The two companies have committed to work together to extend the product’s capabilities to support stronger authentication mechanisms including smart cards and the SET (secure electronic transactions) standard.

They have also committed to build support for new payment types, such as PIN-based debit, and promote industry-wide standards for this new medium.
