The re-edition of a Chopard's historic collection features unique dials that cater to gentlemen drivers
In line with the 30th anniversary of the partnership between Chopard and Mille Miglia, the luxury brand has revealed a new collection of five Mille Miglia Racing Colours watches.
The shades, Rosso Corsa, Speed Silver, British Racing Green, Vintage Blue and Speed Yellow, were the ones allocated to the nations competing in the world of motor racing.
The line, a re-edition of a Chopard’s historic collection, features unique dials that cater to gentlemen drivers and collectors, paying tribute to the heyday of motorsports and to the race itself, the Mille Miglia.
Chopard and Mille Miglia share a love for fine mechanics and performance as well as a passion for classic cars nurtured by Chopard co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, who is both a car collector and driver.
Scheufele, who annually competes in the famous race, has been driving classic cars for over 30 years.
The partnership between Chopard and the Mille Miglia first started in 1988 when Chopard become partner and official timekeeper of the race. That same year, it was inspired to launch a watch collection based on the race.
The annual endurance rally sees over 400 historical cars covering a one thousand-mile route from Brescia to Rome and back.
