The new collection by Michael Kors features fine jewellery, semi-precious stones, 14-carat gold, rose gold and rhodium.
Timeless and rich in detail, the line offers feminine necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings that can be worn separately or stacked together for versatile everyday wear. It is inspired by Mercer Street in New York City’s SoHo neighbourhood, where Kors opened his first downtown store.
One of the themes is Mercer Link, where a signature padlock charm has been reimagined as an elegant chain link. Another subject is Kors Colour, an array of customisable gemstone pieces to celebrate special moments and blend personal style. Last but not least is Custom Kors, a series of charms and nesting bracelets and rings with interchangeable elements for personalisation. Here are the details:
The Mercer lock features custom faceting that forms an ‘M’ shape, which has long been identified with the Michael Kors brand. “I’ve been sketching different takes on the letter M since I was a kid. There’s something architectural about the shape of the letter that translates into a strong, glamorous graphic element,” says the designer. Today, the lock transforms traditional chain-link necklaces, bracelets and rings into feminine for everyday wear.
The collection of stylish bracelets and necklaces features semi-precious gemstones. They offer rich looks boasting vibrant colour. Consumers can even pick their birthstone or colour which represents their personal style. Use the custom-made pieces to add some of your own personality to your wardrobe.
Jewellery is deeply personal, and the playful charms and interchangeable features of Custom Kors are designed to allow for true customisation. Combine collectible charms with versatile nesting bracelets and rings. Use them for stacking or wear as stand-alone statements.
The Michael Kors Fall 2018 Jewellery Collection will be available at select retailers beginning August, 2018.
