Vintage glamour, playful femininity and sharp modernity take over in the French fashion house's latest collection of luxury womenswear boasting flare trousers, silk blouses and intricate knits in classic and rich tones.
Designed by Natacha Ramsay-Levi, the Chloé fall 2019 collection expresses deconstructed glamour and playful elegance with touches of Parisian bourgeoisie, soft allure and sharp modernity.
It focuses on femininity and sophisticated layers, with dresses worn over trousers and skirts and intricate knits combined with silk and tailored pieces. Classic shades of blush, olive, camel and denim blues are intertwined with rich fuchsia and lavender tones.
Textural fabrics such as velvet silk, leather and wool create sensual harmonies, while prints of nostalgic florals and houndstooth are illustrated as baroque cameos, adding a unique touch to the line.
Flare, high-waisted trousers preserve a soft A-line silhouette when mixed with duffel, trench coats and capes, while blazers and hunting jackets are added for a contemporary feel.
Dresses remain feminine, with some boasting vintage handkerchief sleeves.
As for the blouses, they retain delicate and classic cuts with flyaway scarf collars and lace ruffles.
The fall 2019 accessories collection introduces new Chloé day bags ‘aby’ and ‘annie’, both of which boast iconic details such as the leather lock and fob chain – perfect for daily life. The ‘aby’ is crafted in supple deerskin and features a shoulder strap and top handle design, and is encircled by a tonal belt that closes with the signature Chloé padlock. The ‘annie’, on the other hand, is a boxy chain-link handbag with a fob chain clasp in gold.
In footwear, Chloé reveals the solid, curvy ‘wave’ heel on a pointed boot and square-toed penny loafer. Both come in ankle and calf-high styles in crocodile, snakeskin and calfskin leathers.
In jewellery, new feminine designs include baroque pearl and natural shell embellishments, and simpler, more modern twisted bracelets and hoop earrings.
