Tabreed seals UAE cooling contracts

Dubai-based cooling services firm wins three 20-year deals to provide refrigerant for developments.

Dubai-listed National Central Cooling (Tabreed) said it had won three 20-year contracts in the UAE to supply cooling services.

A Tabreed plant in Dubai will provide 6,400 tonnes refrigerant for a hotel and mixed-use development for Kuwait's Aerated Concrete Industries under two contracts.

The company will also supply 1,200 tonnes refrigerant for a complex in Abu Dhabi, Tabreed said in a statement on Sunday, without giving the value of the deals.

Tonnes refrigerant is an industry measure. One tonne refrigerant cools one cubic metre of air and four will cool a one bedroom apartment.
