Developer leads field as 12 awards handed out during ceremony at the Jumeirah Messilah Hotel
Tamdeen Group, a firm that has recently announced plans to invest over $2 billion into the Kuwaiti economy, walked away with the top prize at the Arabian Business Kuwait Awards, which were held at the Jumeirah Messilah Hotel in Kuwait on Monday evening.
Group chairman Mohammed Jassim Khalid Al Marzouq collected the award from the evening’s guest of honour, Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al Salam Al Sabah, Kuwait’s Under Secretary to the Amiri Diwan.
The Businesswoman of the Year award went to Saveco founder Noor Faisal Al Qatami, while the Entrepreneur of the Year title was picked up by Gastronomica AE founder Basil AlSalem.
The Luxury Retailer of the Year award went to Behebehani Group.
Kuwait Petroleum International (Q8) won the Energy Company of the Year award, while Mezzan Holding collected the Consumer Goods Company of the Year prize.
Other awards went to Gulf Bank (Special CSR Award); VIVA Kuwait (Telecoms Company of the Year) and Qualitynet (Internet Service Provider of the Year.
X-cite, a division of Alghanim Industries, won the Consumer Electronics Company of the Year, while Al Ahli Bank Kuwait picked up the Best Bank of the Year gong.
Last but not least, Smiths Detection won the Fastest Growing Company award.
