Tameer extends IP platform

The UAE real estate developer rolls out communications solution across entire country.

UAE real estate developer Tameer Holding is extending its internet protocol (IP) communications solution from Mitel to cover its offices across the entire country.

Tameer Holding has already deployed Mitel’s IP communications solution in its offices in Sharjah and Dubai, and will now roll out the solution to its other offices in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Umm Al Quwain.

The contract, the value of which was not disclosed, has the potential for further expansion, said Mitel general manager GCC Hisham El Amili.

“There is expansion and growth and more revenue as far as we are concerned,” El Amili said. “Our association with such a reputed brand as Tameer and by entering into a long-term relationship provides the market with assurance of the superior quality of Mitel’s converged solutions.”

The project is slated for completion within the next quarter, the company said. NetExpress, a UAE systems integrator and Mitel partner, will do the installation work.

Tameer Holding’s portfolio of development in the UAE includes properties in locations such as Dubai Marina, Dubai Business Bay, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai International City, and Al Salam City in Umm Al Quwain.

Tameer has also worked on projects in Yemen, Jordan and Libya.
