Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of Dubai Executive Council, on Tuesday met with Google co-founder Sergey Brin.

During the meeting with Brin, who is also president of Google’s parent company, Alphabet Inc, Sheikh Hamdan drew parallels between the story of Google and Dubai.

He tweeted: "Sergey and Larry (Page)’s inspiring story is similar to Dubai’s story – we both share a desire to build the future. They created the future of knowledge; we created a model city for the future of urbanism.

"In cooperation with them, we can contribute positively to the future of humanity."

Brin and his friend Larry Page founded Google from a dorm room and today the company is worth over $600 billion.
