The firm said it wants to regain commercial strength in the Kingdom
Etihad Etisalat, which operates under the brand Mobily, has opened a number of branches in shopping malls across Saudi Arabia as part of its expansion plans in the Kingdom.
Mobily, Saudi's second-largest telecommunications firm of which UAE’s Etisalat owns a 27% stake, opened outlets in central, eastern, western and southern regional malls, Khaled Riad, chief sales officer told the Saudi Gazette.
"…by opening several outlets around the Kingdom, [we are seeking] to fulfil our customers' needs and be closer to them, [as] the malls our outlets are in have a high ratio of visitors," he said, though he did not provide a specific number of openings.
The branches offer sales services to post-paid and prepaid lines, FITH and smart devices.
Riad said the expansion is in line with the firm's strategy to regain its commercial strength in the country.
Mobily had recently revamped its post-paid and prepaid packages and its data services, having added on-network and off-network local calls features.
