The digital platform allows users to track and take part in their cases remotely, including through video teleconferencing
Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Courts have launched an “eCourts” platform that allows users to monitor their cases around the clock, file documents and take part in remote court hearings, the entity announced on Saturday.
The platform, which was developed in partnership with Microsoft, allows users to initiative, manage and monitor ongoing cases through mobile devices, as well as file documents and receive SMS notifications updating them on their case and of
Additionally, “electronic evidence bundles” are included at no additional cost. Court hearings can also be conducted through video conferencing technology, accessed through an integrated calendar.
“Technological advances in ADGM resonate with the digital transformation of Abu Dhabi’s economy,” said ADGM chairman Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh. “We believe that the establishment of these end-to-end, fully digital and mobile-enabled judicial resolution services is transformative.”
Al Sayegh added that the platforms ability to process cases without time and location-related boundaries mean the courts can “truly serve the local and global investors and business communities.”
The eCourt platform also includes a secure payment gateway for clients and lawyers, with immediate access to invoices and receipts, as well as the instant publication of order sand judgements.
