Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, the company behind Du, has signed a joint venture (JV) agreement with Bahrain Telecommunications Co (Batelco) to create a ‘regional infrastructure platform’.

In a statement to Dubai Financial Market, Du said the platform would be “capable of delivering connectivity and data centre services across the region”.

Under the 50:50 JV, the statement added, Du and Batelco, “will be in a position to service their customers more comprehensively and efficiently”.

Arabian Business contacted du but was told that no further information on the JV was available at this time.
