Zain Saudi Arabia's 5G network has expanded to 27 cities, serviced by 2,600 towers installed across the country
Zain Saudi Arabia has published a detailed and interactive map for its 5G network to allow users to see where its services are available, the company announced on Monday.
Zain KSA is the first company in the Saudi ICT sector to offer this service around the kingdom.
“We at Zain KSA give priority to our customer experience based on utter transparency in serving them, and this is why we took a bold step in providing them with detailed information on every city,” said Zain KSA vice president of communications Rayan Abdullah Al Turki.
Al Turki added that “it is the right of customers if they decide to test the 5G to view detailed coverage maps in every city to be assured that the placed they visit are covered by 5G”.
According to Zain, the 5G network is ten times faster than the current generation, with low latency speed and a capacity where thousands of devices can be used at once, including remotely operated devices, mobile phones and sensors, video cameras and smart street lights.
“All these features will achieve a quantum shift in a number of digital services in various sectors such as medicine, the Internet of Things, e-commerce as well as the business sector,” Zain said in a statement.
