A combined Tejari and Microsoft effort is demonstrated at Gitex: a completely integrated procurement cycle, showing how the marketplace can be seamlessly linked to add value to the supply chain.
AS part of Gitex 2002, business-to-business e-marketplace Tejari (www.tejari.com) and Microsoft have created a live demonstration of a completely integrated procurement cycle, showing how the marketplace can be seamlessly linked to order management, inventory and procurement applications, to add value to the supply chain. Microsoft BizTalk acts as the technology interface between the improved functionality of the Tejari marketplace and a range of ERP offerings.Tejari's selected integration partners — which include GTFS, Techlogix and Vxceed — are taking part in the live integration demonstrations during Gitex to showcase the implementation and support services that they bring to similar projects."Currently, most of Tejari's members have a back-office solution in place to which the marketplace could be linked for greater business benefit," said Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, chief executive officer of Tejari. Tejari and Microsoft Middle East Consulting Services have jointly developed an adaptor between the Tejari marketplace and the Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 that dramatically decreases the deployments' time and effort.Other Tejari trading partners that have completed integrations or are initiating the integration process include Al Futtaim, the Dubai Department of Health and Medical Services, the Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, Dubai Duty Free, Dubai Government Workshop, Jumbo Electronics, Dubai Municipality, and MMI.To see a live link demonstration, visit the Tejari stand at Hall 6 Stand C6-1.
