Digital map data provider Tele Atlas is demonstrating the capabilities of its vast data network at GITEX Technology Week.

The company, which provides mapping and location-based data for a number of clients including TomTom, RIM, Google and a host of other internet, automotive, personal navigation and enterprise clients, offers extensive coverage in the Middle East.

Tele Atlas offers street network information for all major population centres in Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE among others. Its MultiNet information network incorporates data from 50,000 global sources including mobile mapping vans, satellites and aerial photography.

Globally, Tele Atlas covers 200 countries, over 27 million kms of road in an area that includes 2.1 billion people.
