The 150-year-old banking group may be international but it has been in the UAE since 1958.
It boasts one of the most extensive branch networks among foreign banks in the country, with 11 branches and more than 100 automatic teller machines and cash deposit machines.
In April, it launched its video and chat banking service, a first for an international bank in the UAE. Through this service, the bank’s clients can connect with banking agents via a secure video connection or through chat or audio channels for basic services such as changing their address and making inquiries about products.
Standard Chartered is listed on the London and Hong Kong stock exchanges, as well as India’s Bombay and national bourses.
