Shaikhani Group comprises 12 business entities with a total annual turnover of more than $60m.
Its most prominent work is as a developer, with more than 30,000 residential units in the UAE and Pakistan.
Established in 1978, the firm was formerly known as Memon Group of Companies. It was renamed Shaikhani Group of Companies in 1993. The business conglomerate has diversified interests in real estate development, trading, manufacturing and information technology.
Headquartered in Dubai, the group has recently implemented a major restructuring initiative that it says will allow it to strengthen its market presence in 90 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
In September 2016, the company announced a major foray into Dubai’s real estate market with 11 new real estate projects worth $950m. It will deliver over 2,100 residential and commercial units in Dubai Sports City, Jumeirah Village Circle and Dubai Silicon Oasis.
Through Shaikhani Foundation, the company has been engaging in social services by building schools and computer institutes with subsidised fees, hospitals that offer subsidised rates for the general public and free treatment for registered and homeless people, mosques, and housing projects that shelter over 3,200 families.
