Life is slowly getting better at Gulf Bank. The Kuwait-based institution announced profit for H1 at $6.9m, up from a $26m loss the same period last year. The bank, which was established in 1960 and today has a network of 51 branches, offers consumer, corporate and international banking, and does so with ataff of just 150. In hands-on charge is CEO Michel Accad, who was appointed in June last year, and in August told Arabian Business that 2010 was proving to be a "turnaround year".
