Located within an iconic Mediterranean style property in the heart of Dubai Marina, the Royal Suite provides a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle of a busy city
If solitude is what you're after, you probably think Dubai's popular Jumeirah Beach Residence area is the last place to be. With an open-air mall on one end, a skydive centre at the other and seemingly endless hotels and restaurants in-between, serenity is hard to find. However, there is a building along the shore that is not like the other high-rises that makeup the Marina's skyline. A Mediterranean style building that swaps endless floors for a touch of class. This is The Ritz-Carlton Dubai, the more laid-back cousin to its sister property in the Financial Centre.
The hotel boasts all the usual five-star amenities the discerning traveller might expect, and some they might not. There are the usual spattering of high-end restaurants, a world-class spa, beach access and two swimming pools. However, it is the 35,000-square-metres of landscaped gardens that most impress, especially compared to the hustle and bustle beyond the Ritz-Carlton's walls.
There is one room above all others, quite literally in fact. The Royale Suite is located on the highest floor of the building, and takes up 220 square-metres of tastefully-decorated living space. It boasts two over-sized bedrooms, living room and spacious dining area, along with a fully-equipped private kitchen and study. The bathroom features an oversized Jacuzzi, while floor-to-ceiling windows give residents panoramic views of the resort gardens below.
