Nashwa Al Ruwaini became a household name in the Middle East when her talk show ‘Nashwa’ launched in 2006. Since then, the ‘Oprah of the Arab world’ has gone from strength to strength. Born in Cairo, started her career on Qatari radio before becoming the youngest Arab woman on TV, working for Qatar TV. She then moved to London, then Cairo, before establishing her own production company Pyramedia in the UAE in 1998. Her production company is now one of the largest in the region producing TV shows such as the Million’s Poet.
