Three people were injured and a warehouse completely destroyed after a fire broke out in the Farwaniya governorate in Kuwait.

A team from the Fire Department with the help of firemen from the Kuwaiti army and Kuwait Oil Company extinguished the huge fire which broke out in a warehouse in the Dhajeej area on Tuesday night.

One member from the fire department, another from the military and a worker in the warehouse suffered injuries from the fire, director of Public Relations and Information in the Fire Department Colonel Nabil Al-Husainan told KUNA News Agency.

He added that the wind speed had made it difficult for the firemen to put off the fire quickly but were able to extinguish it before it spread to nearby facilities.

Al-Husainan said that an investigation was under way to determine the cause of the fire.
