Three new deals for Emirates Thermostone

Emirates Thermostone has been awarded contracts worth US $1.6 million (AED 6.2 million) to supply Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) construction materials for Dubai Motor City, Dubai Sports City and Dubai Silicon Oasis.

Emirates Thermostone has been awarded contracts worth US $1.6 million (AED 6.2 million) to supply Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) construction materials for Dubai Motor City, Dubai Sports City and Dubai Silicon Oasis.

They are the latest in several contracts awarded to the company since the launch of its second production line for AAC technology in April this year.

AAC is a thermal and lightweight building block made from natural raw materials. Its economical, environmentally friendly and lightweight characteristics have enhanced its international reputation as a preferred construction material for residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

"The high-performance combination of silica, sand, lime, cement and water mixed with an expanding agent enhances the construction properties of the material, vastly improving its structural strength, optimising lightness and boosting fire resistance," said Ajay Mathur, general manager, Emirates Thermostone.

"Other popular features include its ability to resist termites, the absence of pollutants and its enhanced thermal insulation properties, which help reduce power consumption particularly in warm climates such as in the Middle East."
