The car rental firm plans to have a presence in all major retail hubs in the next few years.
Rapidly expanding Thrifty Car Rental has announced plans to open new outlets in Jumeirah Beach Residence and Ras al Khaimah in the UAE.
An additional outlet will be opened in an "upcoming business park", and all three are scheduled to open before the end of the year.
The firm recently opened an outlet in Dubai's Mall of the emirates, as well as full service offices in Bangalore, New Delhi and Mumbai in India and Izmir in Turkey.
"During 2006 we experienced enormous growth and expansion across the region, and 2007 is no exception," said Sam Eltibi, regional director, Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group.
"The new outlets, all conveniently located and offering high quality transportation solutions, enhance our presence in the region and firmly establish Thrifty as the car rental company of choice no matter where one is in the Middle East, Turkey and Indian Subcontinent."
Eltibi pointed out that industry analysts claim Dubai is estimated to see a 209% growth in retail space to 4.25 million square meters by the end of the decade, providing car rental companies with more opportunities to reach potential clients directly.
"These statistics highlight the enormous potential for car rental counters in shopping malls and the success we have enjoyed in such a short time with existing mall outlets provided further impetus," said Khalid Al Moosa, director, Thrifty Car Rental.
"As part of Thrifty's ambitious expansion plans, we aim to be present at all major retail hubs in the next few years, offering shoppers easy access to a full line of vehicles."
