New ImageUltra Builder is designed to reduce the complexity of managing large groups of PCs – and save management time
IBM Middle East has unveiled the ImageUltra Builder, a software development kit that aims to help companies in the region save money on the deployment of personal computers across their enterprise. The software is now available directly to corporations for the first time, offering a cost-effective solution to a problem that has plagued IT departments for years – the time and resources required to install and manage both the physical PCs and the users’ software and settings.IBM say that managing the software on individual PCs can be a costly and frustrating problem for IT professionals, especially where corporate companies need to have specific settings to ensure Arabic applications run smoothly. As the software image gets more complex across a large enterprise, image management consumes ever- greater amounts of human and financial resources. ImageUltra Builder helps minimise the time used by IT managers juggling thousands of images stored on their company's computers and can lower the organisation's total cost of ownership by up to $100 per PC.IBM manageability technologies have saved some corporate customers up to 25 percent of the Total Cost of Ownership over a PC's lifetime. Now, IBM offers IT staff in the Middle East the opportunity to save time and money and keep their custom imaging processes in-house by installing ImageUltra Builder.
