Total bargains from Total Holidays

Five-star breaks in Sharm el Sheikh in association with Egypt Air from US $800.

Dubai-based travel wholesaler Total Holidays has launched a range of summer packages to Sharm el Sheikh, which can be bought through local travel agencies.

Prices for a seven-night stay in a five star hotel, including all flights and transfers start from as little as AED 2936 ($800) per person based on two people sharing, excluding airport taxes, until July 13.

"Sharm el Sheikh, situated on the Red Sea, is one of the top destinations worldwide and currently very popular for any target group including singles, couples and families," said Hossam Andraous, managing partner, Total Holidays.

"Due to the political situation in Lebanon in particular, tourists will travel to Egypt and Sharm el Sheikh will gain a higher market share."

The company has teamed up with Egyptian national carrier Egypt Air to offer direct weekly departures from Dubai to Sharm el Sheikh every Thursday.

Rates include return economy class flights DXB-SSH-DXB, seven nights in a five-star hotel (Mövenpick, Marriott, Hilton or similar), including taxes and breakfast, and all transfers.

The same package in a four-star hotel (Tropicana Rosetta, Tropicana Garden Palms or similar) starts from AED 2468 ($672).

All prices increase during the July 13 to September 11 peak period.

Business class upgrades or alternate routes, including DXB-SHARM-CAI-DXB, are also available on request.

"With regards to other destinations, Europe and in particular cities such London, Paris, Milan or Vienna will be the top destinations for the summer," Andraous added. "Furthermore, Malaysia will be one of the big selling destination in the market [this summer]."

All the above packages are available through local travel agents, who earn 20% commission on every booking.
