Touchmate scores ENOC distribution coup

In a bid to consolidate its market position in the UAE, Quality Gulf subsidiary Touchmate secured a new distribution deal last month that will see its range of computer accessories sold in 38 ENOC and EPPCO service station convenience stores in Dubai and the Northern Emirates of the UAE.

Through these outlets, Touchmate is offering nine products including headphones, speakers, USB drives, MP3 players and Sim card back ups.

According to Vasant Menghani, managing director of Touchmate, the company plans to extend the scope of this partnership to supply product to more than 60 ENOC and EPPCO outlets before the end of 2006.

“Our decision to sell our computer accessories through ENOC and EPPCO convenience stores was driven by our goal of making our products available at easily accessible locations for customers,” he said.

“Our strategy of targeting convenience stores seems to be paying off, since we have already received a re-order request with a 30% increase in inventory.

“Furthermore, we are anticipating a 10% hike in sales each month at these outlets.

“Touchmate is focused on maximising the availability of both its IT consumer products and products meant for enterprises.

“We look forward to strategically strengthening our distributor network in the UAE and in the process capitalise on increased consumer demand for high quality, value-for-money IT products.”
