Muscat International airport reported a 9.8 percent growth in passenger numbers for the first nine months of this year.
Oman’s largest airport said 11,419,791 million passengers travelled on 89,045 flights between January and September, an increase e 9.8 percent in passenger numbers and 5.4 percent increase flights, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
Passenger numbers at Salalah International airport, however, fell by 10 percent to 1.09 million passengers during January-September. Salalah’s tourism was impacted by Cyclone Mekunu in May and again by Cyclone Luban earlier this month, which was eventually downgraded to a tropical storm.
