Etihad Airways' inaugural flight took place on November 12, 2003 with a flight to the Lebanese capital of Beirut
Etihad Airways celebrated the 15th anniversary of its inaugural flight to Beirut on November 12, 2003 by forming a “human mosaic” of employees and offering a special treat to guests on board one of its flights.
A picture released by Etihad shows over 400 members of the airline’s engineering and technical teams forming a “15” in front of one of its Airbus A380s at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Additionally, guests traveling on EY535 to Beirut were treated to cake-cutting ceremony at the departure gate on Monday morning.
The airline also presented each guest with a limited-edition cabin crew scarf and tie set designed by fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg, while young flyers received Etihad teddy bears wearing the airline’s 2003 uniform, in addition to its current style.
