The showroom will remain open until February 2019
Tesla has opened a temporary showroom in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates as it seeks to bolster its presence in Dubai, it was announced on Sunday.
The showroom complements an already established retail store and service centre located on Sheikh Zayed Road.
The 220 square-metre showroom will remain open until February 2019 and will display Model S and Model X Tesla vehicles, allowing customers to learn about the company’s products in an ‘experimental’ environment, according to the company.
Visitors to the showroom will also be able to learn about the upcoming Model 3, which is slated for delivery in the first half of 2019.
Tesla was launched to much fanfare in the UAE in February 2017.
Among Tesla’s customers in Dubai is the Roads and Transport Authority, which beefed up its fleet to 125 electric vehicles this year.
